Chinese Yuan Trades Nearly 2-week High Against US Dollar

(RTTNews) - The Chinese yuan touched 6.3527 against the US dollar on Wednesday in Asia, its strongest level in nearly 2-weeks. The yuan is presently worth 6.3550 per dollar and a move above its August 9th high of 6.3517 could set its strongest mark in nearly 7-weeks.
The People's Bank of China has set today's central parity rate for the dollar-yuan at 6.3348. The Chinese central bank sets the central parity rate every morning and allows the currency to fluctuate up to 1 percent from the level.
