Yen Extends Weakness Against Major Rivals

(RTTNews) - The Japanese yen extended its previous session's weakness against major opponents during early Asian deals on Thursday. Presently, the yen is trading near a 1-month low of 79.09 against the US dollar, new multi-month lows of 79.94 versus the loonie, 63.85 against the NZ dollar and 83.05 versus the Australian dollar from yesterday's closing values of 79.00, 79.86, 63.77 and 83.00, respectively.

The Japanese currency also traded further lower against its major European counterparts in today's early Asian session. As of now, the yen is worth 97.20 against the euro, 80.95 versus the Swiss franc and 124.01 versus the British pound, compared to Wednesday's close of 97.10, 80.86 and 123.91, respectively.
