U.S. Navy Ship, Oil Tanker Clash Near Strait Of Hormuz

(RTTNews) - A collision between the U.S. navy ship and an oil tanker occurred near the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf on Sunday, reports said. No one was hurt in the incident.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. local time.
The Panamanian-flagged bulk oil tanker, M/V Otowasan, was heading to Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates after loading from Qatar.
Meanwhile, the USS Porter, in the Persian Gulf on a scheduled deployment, is assigned to the U.S. 5th Fleet. It is conducting maritime security operations.
There are no reports of spills or oil leakage.
