UK June Retail Sales Edge Higher - BRC

(RTTNews) - Retail same-store sales in the United Kingdom increased in June by 0.1 percent from one year earlier.
The British Retail Consortium also reported Tuesday that overall retail sales, which includes those at newly opened stores, were up 2.0 percent on year.
The figures compared to a same-store sales increase of 1.4 percent and an overall increase of 3.5 percent in June.
"More wet weather in July continued to stifle demand for outdoor gear," said BRC Director General Stephen Robertson.
