U.K. Corporate Insolvencies Decline In Q2

(RTTNews) - There were 4,115 compulsory liquidations and creditors' voluntary liquidations in total in England and Wales in the second quarter, the Insolvency Service said Friday.
Liquidations decreased 3.6 percent from the previous quarter and fell 2.4 percent from the same quarter a year ago.
At the same time, individual insolvencies dropped 10.2 percent annually to 27,390 cases in the second quarter.
During the twelve months ending the second quarter, approximately 1 in 142 active companies went into liquidation, similar to the previous quarter. The liquidation rate remains low compared to a peak of 2.6 percent in 1993.
About 1 in 382 people became insolvent in the twelve months to the second quarter. This was down from 1 in 372 in the previous quarter.
