Johnson & Johnson rose $.24 or .4 percent, to $66.63.

Medtronic rose $.36 or 1.0 percent, to $38.16.

St. Jude Medical Inc. rose $.96 or 2.6 percent, to $37.90.

Stryker rose $.82 or 1.5 percent, to $54.57.

Zimmer Holdings Inc. rose $1.43 or 2.3 percent, to $63.17.
