Johnson & Johnson rose $.27 or .3 percent, to $78.02.

Medtronic fell $.16 or .3 percent, to $45.57.

St. Jude Medical Inc. rose $.33 or .8 percent, to $42.03.

Stryker rose $.33 or .5 percent, to $65.73.

Zimmer Holdings Inc. rose $.33 or .4 percent, to $75.21.
