Comcast Corp. fell $.34 or .9 percent, to $36.95.

Walt Disney Co. fell $.52 or 1.0 percent, to $51.90.

Gannett fell $.38 or 2.0 percent, to $18.24.

New York Times Co. fell $.16 or 1.5 percent, to $10.67.

News Corp. fell $.48 or 1.9 percent, to $25.36.

Time Warner Inc. fell $.95 or 2.1 percent, to $44.93.

Viacom Inc. fell $.76 or 1.4 percent, to $55.26.
