(AP:NEW YORK) Shares of some top pharmaceuticals companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Baxter International Inc. rose $.82 or 1.3 percent, to $62.74.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. fell $.09 or .3 percent, to $34.29.

Hospira fell $.53 or 1.6 percent, to $32.09.

Johnson & Johnson rose $1.52 or 2.1 percent, to $72.52.

Eli Lilly & Co. rose $.14 or .3 percent, to $53.81.

Merck rose $.57 or 1.2 percent, to $47.96.

Pfizer rose $.20 or .8 percent, to $26.04.
