(AP:NEW YORK) Shares of some top railroad companies were up at the close of trading:

CSX rose $.12 or .5 percent, to $23.16.

Canadian National Railway Co. rose $.52 or .6 percent, to $93.72.

Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. rose $1.84 or 2.1 percent, to $87.70.

Kansas City Southern rose $2.09 or 2.6 percent, to $83.63.

Norfolk Southern Corp. rose $.16 or .2 percent, to $74.69.

Union Pacific rose $1.96 or 1.5 percent, to $128.43.
