Walt Disney Co. fell $.25 or .5 percent, to $52.35.

Gannett rose $.12 or .7 percent, to $17.58.

New York Times Co. rose $.14 or 1.4 percent, to $9.80.

News Corp. rose $.18 or .7 percent, to $24.91.

Time Warner Inc. rose $.38 or .9 percent, to $44.71.

Viacom Inc. fell $.41 or .8 percent, to $52.86.
