(AP:NEW YORK) Shares of some top department store retail companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Kohl's Corp. fell $.30 or .6 percent, to $53.40.

Macy's Inc. fell $.04 or .1 percent, to $39.24.

Nordstrom fell $.10 or .2 percent, to $57.56.

J.C. Penney Co. rose $.16 or .6 percent, to $28.82.

Saks rose $.19 or 1.7 percent, to $11.63.

Sears Holdings Corp. rose $1.89 or 3.2 percent, to $61.71.

TJX Companies fell $.10 or .2 percent, to $46.46.
