American Electric Power Co. rose $.46 or 1.1 percent, to $43.96.

Consolidated Edison Inc. Holding Co. rose $.81 or 1.3 percent, to $60.99.

Dominion Resources Inc. rose $.83 or 1.6 percent, to $53.59.

Duke Energy Corp. rose $.61 or 1.0 percent, to $64.66.

Exelon rose $.70 or 2.0 percent, to $35.57.

PG&E rose $.24 or .6 percent, to $43.33.

Southern Co. rose $.60 or 1.3 percent, to $45.92.
