(AP:NEW YORK) Shares of some top department store retail companies were mixed at the close of trading:

Kohl's Corp. fell $.07 or .1 percent, to $53.70.

Macy's Inc. rose $.06 or .2 percent, to $39.28.

Nordstrom fell $.29 or .5 percent, to $57.66.

J.C. Penney Co. fell $.39 or 1.3 percent, to $28.66.

Saks rose $.26 or 2.3 percent, to $11.44.

Sears Holdings Corp. rose $1.04 or 1.8 percent, to $59.82.

TJX Companies rose $.97 or 2.1 percent, to $46.56.
