Apple Inc. rose $1.61 or .3 percent, to $629.71.

Dell Inc. rose $.34 or 3.6 percent, to $9.69.

Hewlett Packard Co. rose $.16 or 1.1 percent, to $14.41.

International Business Machines Corp. rose $2.04 or 1.0 percent, to $207.80.

Lexmark International Inc. rose $.09 or .4 percent, to $20.88.
