Alcoa Inc. fell 4.6 percent to $8.71 with 43,599,900 shares traded.

Alpha Natural Resources Inc. rose .4 percent to $7.31 with 27,072,600 shares traded.

Armour Residential REIT Inc. fell .7 percent to $7.51 with 25,403,600 shares traded.

Bank of America Corp. was unchanged at $9.21 with 106,470,700 shares traded.

Citigroup Inc. rose 1.6 percent to $35.14 with 28,906,200 shares traded.

Ford Motor Co. fell 1.2 percent to $9.98 with 33,550,900 shares traded.

General Electric Co. fell .8 percent to $22.43 with 32,162,700 shares traded.

Hewlett Packard Co. fell 1.3 percent to $14.18 with 38,626,400 shares traded.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. rose .9 percent to $41.77 with 25,614,800 shares traded.

Sprint Nextel Corp. rose 1.8 percent to $5.04 with 51,911,800 shares traded.
