American Electric Power Co. rose $.26 or .6 percent, to $44.17.

Consolidated Edison Inc. Holding Co. rose $.17 or .3 percent, to $59.65.

Dominion Resources Inc. rose $.42 or .8 percent, to $53.23.

Duke Energy Corp. rose $.38 or .6 percent, to $64.76.

Exelon rose $.13 or .4 percent, to $35.53.

PG&E rose $.03 or .1 percent, to $42.27.

Southern Co. fell $.10 or .2 percent, to $45.57.
