News Summary: Market takes a break from party mojo

By The Associated Press

THE MARKET PARTY: Stocks have been trading this month at levels not seen since late 2007, nine months before the financial crisis imploded.

CAN'T LAST FOREVER: Friday seemed like it would be another day of gains, until the Dow Jones industrial average and the Standard & Poor's 500 slipped in the late afternoon.

WHAT'S UP: The market's recent rise has been driven in large part by promises from the Federal Reserve and other central banks to do more to try to help the economy, not because investors think the economy is healed.
