Alpha Natural Resources Inc. rose 16.8 percent to $6.90.

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. rose 14.5 percent to $39.91.

Noranda Aluminum Holdings Corp. rose 13.0 percent to $6.88.

Peabody Energy Corp. rose 10.8 percent to $23.71.

Calix Inc. rose 10.6 percent to $5.64.

Teck Resources Ltd. rose 9.9 percent to $30.18.

Tumi Holdings Inc. rose 9.9 percent to $25.22.

Willbros Group rose 9.0 percent to $5.31.

United States Steel Corp. rose 8.7 percent to $20.89.

Cooper Cos. rose 8.5 percent to $93.33.
