(AP:NEW YORK) Shares of some top leisure companies were up at the close of trading:

Carnival rose $1.12 or 3.1 percent, to $37.05.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. rose $1.01 or 2.3 percent, to $44.30.

MGM Resorts International rose $.37 or 3.6 percent, to $10.70.

Marriott International Inc. rose $.61 or 1.6 percent, to $39.36.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. rose $.85 or 3.0 percent, to $29.57.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. rose $1.07 or 1.9 percent, to $57.86.

Wynn Resorts rose $1.19 or 1.2 percent, to $102.74.
