(AP:NEW YORK) Shares of some top railroad companies were up at the close of trading:

CSX rose $.60 or 2.7 percent, to $22.85.

Canadian National Railway Co. rose $.13 or .1 percent, to $87.98.

Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. rose $2.63 or 3.3 percent, to $82.76.

Kansas City Southern rose $2.30 or 3.2 percent, to $74.66.

Norfolk Southern Corp. rose $1.69 or 2.3 percent, to $74.69.

Union Pacific rose $1.67 or 1.4 percent, to $122.48.
