(AP:NEW YORK) Shares of some top leisure companies were up at the close of trading:

Carnival rose $1.09 or 3.3 percent, to $33.80.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. rose $.36 or 1.0 percent, to $36.77.

MGM Resorts International rose $.22 or 2.4 percent, to $9.44.

Marriott International Inc. rose $.83 or 2.3 percent, to $36.89.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. unchanged at $24.62.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. rose $1.32 or 2.5 percent, to $54.03.

Wynn Resorts rose $2.01 or 2.2 percent, to $94.61.
