Hormel Foods Corp. rose $.42 or 1.5 percent, to $28.40.

Kellogg rose $.58 or 1.2 percent, to $47.19.

Kraft Foods Inc. rose $.04 or .1 percent, to $39.42.

Smithfield Foods Inc. rose $.16 or .9 percent, to $18.36.

J.M. Smucker Co. rose $.44 or .6 percent, to $76.36.

Tyson Foods Inc. rose $.38 or 2.6 percent, to $15.07.
