Caterpillar rose $1.42 or 1.6 percent, to $90.01.
Deere & Co. rose $1.43 or 1.9 percent, to $76.94.
Manitowoc rose $.33 or 2.5 percent, to $13.30.
Terex rose $.39 or 1.8 percent, to $22.04.
