Comcast Corp. fell $.12 or .4 percent, to $34.02.

Walt Disney Co. rose $.21 or .4 percent, to $50.46.

Gannett rose $.16 or 1.0 percent, to $15.68.

New York Times Co. rose $.01 or .1 percent, to $9.40.

News Corp. fell $.21 or .9 percent, to $23.45.

Time Warner Inc. rose $.09 or .2 percent, to $42.61.

Viacom Inc. rose $.85 or 1.7 percent, to $51.96.
