Aflac Inc. rose $.50 or 1.1 percent, to $45.73.
American International Group rose $.22 or .7 percent, to $34.04.
MBIA rose $.01 or .1 percent, to $10.42.
MGIC Investments Corp. fell $.04 or 3.1 percent, to $1.27.
MetLife fell $.09 or .3 percent, to $34.89.
XL Group PLC rose $.08 or .3 percent, to $23.14.
