Apple Inc. rose $11.13 or 1.9 percent, to $596.29.

Dell Inc. fell $.13 or 1.0 percent, to $11.90.

Hewlett Packard Co. fell $.21 or 1.1 percent, to $18.36.

International Business Machines Corp. rose $.04 or percent, to $196.43.

Lexmark International Inc. fell $.05 or .3 percent, to $17.28.
