LONDON (Dow Jones)--Spot gold rallied to a record high above the key level of $1,100 per troy ounce Friday, extending this week's dramatic bull run.

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Spot gold edged higher Friday as the dollar weakened, bringing it closer to a break above a key level and a new record high.
