10 People Killed In Afghanistan Roadside Bomb Attack

(RTTNews) - At least 10 people, including police officers, were killed in a roadside bomb attack in the southern city of Kandahar in Afghanistan, reports said Sunday.

The Kandahar police went to a residential area in the city to search a bomb found there and were on their way back to military base after detaining suspects. Eight police officers and two suspects were killed as another bomb struck their vehicle.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Meanwhile, provincial security chief General Abdul Razaq said that they have started an investigation about the attack.

Around 10 police officers were killed on Saturday in a suicide bomb attack in the northern province of Kunduz. A separate bomb blast yesterday in the eastern city of Ghazni killed two people.
