Aussie Tumbles To More Than 2-week Low Against Euro, Yen And Greenback

(RTTNews) - Extending its 3-day losing streak, the Australian currency weakened further against its major rivals in early trading on Friday as risk-averse traders flee from higher-yielding currencies.

The aussie tumbled to a 15-day low of 1.6362 against the euro and 0.9063 against the greenback by 7:05 am ET and this may be compared to yesterday's closing values of 1.6256 and 0.9187, respectively. If the Australian dollar weakens further, support levels are seen at 0.903 against the buck and 1.64 versus the euro.

The Australian dollar plummeted to a 17-day low of 80.67 against the Japanese yen before leveling off around 7:05 am ET. The next downside target for the aussie-yen pair is seen around the 79.7 level. The pair was worth 81.74 at Thursday's close.
