Australia Performance Of Service Index Slides In September - AIG

(RTTNews) - An index measuring the performance of the service sectors in Australia came in with a score of 41.9 in September, the Australian Industry Group said on Wednesday - down from 42.4 in August and deeper into contraction.
A score above 50 signals expansion in a sector, while a score below 50 means decline.
Among the individual components of the survey, communications, transportation and recreational services were down, while accommodations and restaurant services were up.
Overall sales and new orders were down, while the employment sub-index ticked slightly higher.
